The Good

The Child Self

When you find what you are supposed to do. You shouldn’t let anything stop you from doing it. Others might need you to be this or that, but if you cannot be yourself, then who can you be?

Fitting In

Trying to be yourself is easy, you just start remembering what it means to be a kid again. Remember when you were a kid and you wanted to act one way, but others told you to act differently for whatever reason to fit in? Well maybe this didn’t happen to everyone but it did happen to me, quite continually.

They would always say… you are weird. Something I guess I am guilty as charged. But as it turns out being weird isn’t a medical condition, it’s just my natural state of being. I always make illogical connections in the name of curiosity and self-amusement. This is what I asked like before society tried shutting me down (which never really worked might I add). I tried fitting in for a while in high school to be a cool sports guy. Yeah, that wasn’t really me… so it ditched it.

Inner Child

Although I have been through the wringer here, I still feel like myself. Even though I continually have to die, the deaths are just little parts of letting go. I don’t think that I really am letting go of my original spirit. Whatever the case, we all know when it is time to move on. Time to change a part of ourselves, but never forget the joyful youthful self that we were as a child.

That self is very special. It makes us love life and allows us to remember that it can be as amazing as we make it. Children’s imaginations are what let them fall in love with life. Everything is new in life because they dream it up as they go. Adults get this kicked out of them so the dreams start to die.

Spiritual Destiny

Whatever happens in your life, don’t let your reason for being a good person or a productive person die. Those are what keep you young, happy and in control of your spiritual destiny. Your adult self may have to change but never give up the spark of youth that kept you in touch with your own imagination.
