Rolling down the street, smoking indo, sipping on gin and juice. Lay back with my mind on my money and my money on my mind.
What drives addiction is longing–a longing not just of brain, belly, or loins but finally of the heart
Every time I find myself slipping into my toxic victim mentality, I remind myself: everything that happens to me is for me.
Addiction should never be treated as a crime. It has to be treated as a health problem. We do not send alcoholics to jail in this country. Over 500,000 people are in our jails who are nonviolent drug users.
If you are in crisis of who you are and your self-image, then everything is going to be distorted because of one crisis that hasn’t been resolved.
