Remembering is easier than forgetting, but in the end, forgetting is more important. If you can’t let go of the things holding you back, that means you are holding on to tightly. Let your emotions guide you. What makes you feel good? What makes you feel right? What makes you smile, what makes you want to keep moving forward? These are your signals that you are going in the right direction. Doing things that make you question yourself need to be forgotten. Keep forgetting until you remember who you could be.
You may have to let go of everything you have ever loved, but that’s ok because there is new love waiting in the wings for you. The value of self-love can supersede and superficial or secular joy. That will be your guide as you move up. Does my higher self-approve of my way of life? If it does not, then it’s time to forgive and forget that way of life. Move on and don’t let the old door hit your memories on the way out.
