What you do with your life, can make you soar to great heights… Or conversely, it can drag you into the depths of Hades. It is more important that you understand yourself, then you understand the external world. Why is this? Because the external world is always shifting. Just like someone who spent their life savings learning basic HTML back in 1992 has had to retrain umpteen times during their computer programming tenure, so too do many professionals have to keep altering their craft to remain relevant.
Those who want to be stylish have to keep up with trends, those who want to be popular have to have cool things to say. This is why its a time suck frankly. A bunch of games played to win castles made of sand. If you spend your time with a huge investment into the external and no investment into the internal, there is no choice but for you to have to go back to the drawing board at certain points in time.
Conversely, time spent on your internal quest is always time well spent. The better you understand yourself, the better you will also understand the external world. That is because the external world responds to your internal progress. You have to dig into your mind in order to make progress. Now, why is this hard? Because demons, ghosts, and other people around you don’t really want you looking into yourself. When you become stronger, it forces them into the light so to speak. So this is where things get a little tricky. If you choose a spiritual road to self-understanding, just buckle up…
You don’t know whats ahead of you… No matter the difficulty, this is the work that must be done if humanity is to progress past the high school maturity levels and develop a meaningful culture of spiritual development and a true sense of community.
