As I sat down here at the coffee house to try and write something meaningful, I just happened to spill coffee all over myself…
At first, I blamed myself for this predicament… yes Austin, you just spilled coffee all over due to a poorly secured lid… Good going slick! But upon further inspection, I had realized that there were actually 2 lids stuck together… Literally, the 2nd Lid was almost invisible, as it was protruding less than a millimeter out from the first lid.
So I wonder if I was actually to blame?… Was this predestined? Perhaps there was a greater lesson for me to learn from this… Or was the fact that I just happened to be wearing coffee colored shorts proof that I am in harmony with the universe? It was interesting as no one in the coffee shop seemed to notice the ordeal, even when I got down on my hands and knees to clean the mess up.
Perhaps I just needed to humble and prostrate myself at the coffee shop… Who’s to say? Anyways I just wanted to share with you the paradox of harmony in life. Sometimes harmony isn’t always what we think it might be. Sometimes it’s being at the right place at the right time, or sometimes its spilling coffee on yourself and nobody being able to notice because your shorts are the same color.
I also talk about these concepts and much more in my book, “Startup Fever, How Crowdfunding Will Rebuild the American Dream!”
